Das Metallverbundrohr vereint Metall- und Kunststoffvorteile und erleichtert somit die Installation:
Die Rohre können ohne viel Kraftaufwand mit der Geberit Mepla Schere abgelängt und auch direkt entgratet werden.
Zusätzlich können die Verbundrohre einfach – und bis zu d20 mm ohne zusätzliches Werkzeug – gebogen werden und bleiben durch die innere Aluminiumschicht in Form. Für grössere Dimensionen können Biegegeräte verwendet werden.
Spezielle Kunststoffnocken auf den Geberit Mepla Fittings aus Kunststoff und ein Haltering auf den Fittings aus Metall erzielen eine hohe Haltekraft im Systemrohr und verhindern, dass der Fitting während des Zusammenbaus aus dem Rohr rutscht. Somit kann eine einzelne Person das Rohrleitungssystem allein installieren, ausrichten und verpressen.

Die Geberit Mepla Fittings sind für einen sicheren Verarbeitungsprozess ausgelegt:
Mit dem gut sichtbaren Anschlag für die Rohrstecktiefe hat der Installateur die Gewissheit, dass das Rohr korrekt und vollständig aufgesteckt ist.
Der Anschlag gilt zusätzlich als definierte Pressbackenführung und stellt somit sicher, dass die Pressbacke punktgenau an der vorgesehenen Stelle angesetzt wird. Das vermeidet Fehlverpressungen und gewährleistet eine sichere und langlebige Verbindung.
Unverpresste Geberit Mepla Fittings sind bei der Dichtheitsprüfung mit Wasser sofort erkennbar. Aus den unverpressten Verbindungen tröpfelt selbst bei geringem Wasserprüfdruck Wasser.

Das Geberit Mepla Metallverbundrohr aus PE-RT (Polyethylene of Raised Temperature – Polyethylen erhöhter Temperaturbeständigkeit) und Aluminium vereint die Vorteile von Kunststoff- und Metall-Rohrleitungssystemen.
